hope you will enjoy this site and that you use it often. I'm Phillip Legare,
founder of the BTSD & ShinkenTaijutsu. After moving to Japan in 2003,
I realized it was time to revamp the old BTSD site. Due to world events,
Hatsumi Sensei no longer travels outside of Japan to teach the art of
Budo Taijutsu. He realizes though, that students around the world still
desire to learn his budo directly from him.
Because of my long association with Sensei and because I can train with
him on a weekly basis, Hatsumi Sensei has authorized me to provide demonstrations
